President & Chief Executive Officer
James Redfearn is President & CEO of Wagon Wheel Exploration, LLC, which he helped form mid-2014. Previously, Mr. Redfearn served as VP of Engineering at Nemaha Oil & Gas, LLC from 2012 to 2014, which was a privately held firm located in Tulsa, OK. In 2005, Mr. Redfearn joined KCS Energy, which later became Petrohawk Energy Company where he spent a significant amount of time as Drilling Manager and later as VP of Drilling & Completions managing large scale and efficient operations in world class plays such as the Haynesville Shale, Fayetteville Shale, and Permian Basin. Mr. Redfearn entered the workforce as a Drilling Engineer with Phillips Petroleum Company in 2001 where he drilled wells around the globe from the western U.S. to China. Mr. Redfearn attended school in Collinsville, OK and holds a B.S. Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Redfearn currently lives in the Sapulpa area with his lovely wife and 3 wonderful children.
Chief Financial Officer
Chris Benton joined Wagon Wheel Exploration, LLC as Chief Financial Officer in October 2014. Prior to joining Wagon Wheel, Mr. Benton was Vice President, Finance and Capital Markets at Magnum Hunter Resources Corporation from 2013 to 2014. During his tenure with Magnum Hunter, he managed all corporate finance, capital market and investor relations activities. Mr. Benton has more than six years of prior banking and corporate finance experience in the energy industry with extensive capital market experience in the upstream and midstream sectors. Prior to joining Magnum Hunter, he worked at RBC Capital Markets as a Vice President in their energy corporate banking group and prior to that he was employed at Bank of Scotland. Mr. Benton holds a B.A Degree in Economics and Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin.
Vice President of Operations
Adam Seibel is Vice President of Operations at Wagon Wheel Exploration, LLC. He joined the company at its inception, in July 2014, as Engineering Manager. Prior to joining Wagon Wheel, Mr. Seibel was Operations Engineer at Nemaha Oil and Gas where he supervised drilling, completion, and workover operations and provided reservoir engineering support for A&D. Prior to Nemaha Mr. Seibel held various drilling and completion engineering roles at Petrohawk Energy where he gained experience in the Haynesville and Fayetteville shales. He was an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team that achieved Petrohawk’s Permian Basin entry. Mr. Seibel also worked for Ensco Offshore, primarily in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Seibel holds a B.S. Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Association of Drilling Engineers. Mr. Seibel lives in Sand Springs with his wife and two daughters.
Tyler Beaty, JD
General Counsel &
Vice President of Land
Mr. Beaty is the General Counsel and Vice President of Land for Wagon Wheel Exploration, LLC. Prior to joining Wagon Wheel, Mr. Beaty worked at Samson Resources Company where he was engaged in all facets of land work, including the management and oversight of complex land projects, preparing locations for multi-rig schedules and mentoring landmen in Samson’s Landman Development Program. Before Samson, Mr. Beaty practiced law at Joyce, Paul & McDaniel, PLLC, now merged with McAfee and Taft, PC. His legal practice focused on interstate pipeline and refinery clients’ transactional and regulatory needs. Mr. Beaty received his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree in MIS from the University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business, and his Juris Doctorate and Entrepreneurial Law Certificate from the University of Tulsa’s School of Law. Mr. Beaty is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the American Association of Petroleum Landmen and the Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen.
Vice President of Exploration
With over 20 years in the industry, Mr. Cirilo began his career with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in the Midcontinent drilling vertical development wells in the Hugoton Embayment and the area now known as the STACK/SCOOP. After a rotation drilling horizontal development wells in the Giddings Austin Chalk trend, Mr. Cirilo moved into exploration along the gulf coast. During the early years of the shale revolution, Mr. Cirilo lead Anadarko to secure over 300,000 acres of prime Eagle Ford acreage in south Texas which they recently sold to Sanchez and Blackstone for $2.3 Billion. Mr. Cirilo moved to Oklahoma and joined Samson Resources in 2006 where he aided the company in identification of emerging unconventional plays and highgrading of company assets. This exceptional opportunity allowed him to evaluate nearly all onshore US resource plays from the Rockies to Appalachia. After Samson’s sale to KKR, Mr. Cirilo moved into Business Development with a focus on acquisitions. Mr. Cirilo joined Wagon Wheel Exploration in 2016 and has been instrumental in leading the team in the creation of value and drilling inventory across our North Louisiana asset base. Under Mr. Cirilo’s geologic leadership, Wagon Wheel continues to grow a robust multi-zone stacked portfolio of opportunities and position itself as a top tier exploration and production company in the region. Mr. Cirilo is married with two children and holds a BS in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Geoscience from the University of Houston. Hobbies include antique restoration and outdoor adventures.
